darcy_chan	2:43a	The Ramen Girl                              Just finished The Ramen Girl. It's become an instant favorite movie of mine!! Just brilliant!! I love Lost In Translation but I love this a lot more! It really hit home for me on what I am going through. Not a romantic comedy as it was portrayed as. It's pretty much about finding your tamashi in life. The focus is more on being independent and working hard.I recommend this movie to any one who loves Japanese culture. Never heard of the Ramen Girl? Yeah, I hadn't either, until last week after Britney passed away. It came out in 2008 and it was one of Britney Murphy's last films. darcy_chan	11:22p	The best lines of the night  My mom: Sunday when we go to see the extended family, we need to bring food. On the list our family will bring salad, an appetizer and a dessert. We already got the first two covered. What should we bring for dessert? Devon: How bout cupcakes? Mom: No Devon: How bout cupcake cones? Mom: No Devon: Whoopi pies? Mom: No Devon: I know! Chocolate pie! You make awesome chocolate pie! Mom:....NO Me: (really just throwing an idea out there.)Maybe those pilsbury dough rolls that you cut into cookies? Mom: Sounds good! I'm thinking chocolate chip would be nice! Devon: WUT !!!!!!!!!! That is so ghetto!!! Devon: Merry F***ing Christmas to you too! I guess my suggestions had too much thought involved... I just know the way my mom thinks about Christmas, so I just suggested the most hassle free, easiest thing to do. I tried to look at things from her prospective...and it worked! LOL The funniest part was seeing my sister try so hard to come up with something extravagant and every time my mom would shoot her down. darcy_chan	7:26p	Some Gaga observations. *I got in a conversation with someone last night about her music. What he said was brillant and the truth. " Gaga's background music, is like techno jazz. The BGM doesn't seem like it matches the beats, but throw in her vocals and for some reason the foreground and backtracks some how all come together to be one." I like that observation. ^_^ *Gaga is so separated from other artists at the moment because she takes the idea of Ziggy Stardust and is recreating that idea for 2008. Taking something from long ago and bringing her own modern twist to it and introducing the concepts to a generation that maybe who were never exposed to the 70's and 80's. *She said in a recent interview that her most special pop culture achievement is bring the gay community more main stream music. That music knows no color, sexual orientation, etc. Now that I think of it, I can't say that just one group of people like her music. I know so many different people who like her. I think the only stereotyping would be she doesn't cater to anyone over the age of say 16 because of her sexual nature oh yes! This photo made me squee! Cyndi Lauper and Gaga!! Idol overdose!!! ^____^ I heard this song while I was in the mall yesterday. I'm not one for Christmas music, but it's sooo catchy in a good way. Cyndi, I <3 you! OMG!! I just found that she has a Christmas album!! The Christmas Conga is fabulous!! ^__^ MUST HAVE!  Plus This is so funny! Cyndi Lauper Christmas shopping back in 1986.
